CCD Food Pantry at Knollwood

The food pantry is now open at the Knollwood Community Center! The pantry is designed to support local families and individuals facing food insecurity by providing essential, nutritious foods. The program offers a wide range of grocery items, ensuring access to a balanced diet for those in need.

The food pantry at Knollwood is a collaborative effort supported by several dedicated organizations: the Community Collaboration of Delaware, Claymont Renaissance Development Corporation (CRDC), Food Bank of Delaware, and Knollwood Community Center. Together, these organizations work to combat food insecurity and promote community wellness by making healthy food options more accessible to local residents.

This program is not only about providing food, but also about creating a foundation of health and stability for our community. By offering fresh, nutritious food options, the pantry helps ensure that everyone has access to the resources needed for a balanced diet. We encourage all eligible community members to "Come Join Us" to find support, care, and a variety of essential food items for you and your family.

Qualifications &  Contact Information

Each household can access the pantry once per week to receive the foods they need. To be eligible, households must meet certain income requirements or be enrolled in specific social benefits programs, ensuring resources are prioritized for those who need them most. By reducing the financial burden of grocery expenses, the pantry allows families to focus on other critical needs.
