In honor of National Recycling Day, Community Collaboration of Delaware hosted the 2nd Annual Community Park Clean-up/ Toy Drive at Battery Park on Sunday November 28th with our friends from Phoenix Used Clothing, the Historic New Castle Hundred Lions Club, and the EcoAlliance Club from Charter of Wilmington High School.
This family friendly event allowed members from our community to come together and rid of trash, while also helping to support local Delaware families in need during the holiday season. We are so thankful for the 50+ volunteers that came out to support this cleanup. And a special thank you to both 'Keep Delaware Beautiful' for the trash bags and trash pickers they provided and the New Castle City Police Department for the police escort that helped keep us safe as we walked along Rt. 9 collecting trash of all shapes and sizes.
At the end of the clean up, countless bags of debris and trash has been collected and picked up to be disposed of properly, proving once again that we can do more together. We hope to see everyone at the 3rd Annual Community Park Clean Up in November of 2022!
