On Thursday, September 3rd, Community Collaboration of Delaware, atTAcK addiction, the Food Bank of Delaware, and Delaware Health and Social Services (DSAMH) held a free community resource event at Frawley Stadium, Wilmington DE.
This collaborative event included: a bookbag giveaway, food distribution, Naloxone training/distribution, and PPE packets/ health information. The bookbag giveaway and food distribution were available to the first 100 registrants and the naloxone distribution was available to the first 50 registrants. When asked about the event, CCD Executive Director, David Salter, said, "To me, this event is a perfect example of how much more we can do for our fellow community members when we work together. It really does take a village. And even though the inclement weather impacted our expected turn out, we had an absolute blast working with our community partners to provide valuable resources to our community. A big thank you to them and all of the volunteers that came out to help with this event."
