Our summer camp model provides cost effective summer camp options for local Delaware youth and their families. CCD summer camps emphasize the promotion of youth development in a safe and structured environment that is packed with fun-filled activities. During the Summer of 2022, CCD, in collaboration with Colonial School District, provided a free, four-week summer camp program to 90 students from Carrie Downie Elementary School, located in New Castle, DE. Please follow us on our social media page, @communitycollabde, for updates about the Community Collab Summer Youth Camp.
At CCD, we aspire to provide local families with affordable before and after-school programming that focuses on educational, nutritional, recreational, and social development activities. We believe that this holistic, multifaceted approach to youth development will assist local youth in becoming the best versions of themselves.
CCD, in partnership with Colonial School District, currently provides extended school care programming to 75 students from Carrie Downie Elementary School. CCD leadership hopes to provide this cost-effective resource to even more local families in the near future!
The CCD C.A.R.E. (Community Advocacy; Recovery Empowerment) Program provides comprehensive case management services in a supportive, structured, monitored, and accountable recovery home environment. The highly trained CARE Program staff delivers service coordination, house management, transportation, peer support, and guidance that help individuals with a substance use disorder learn the necessary skills to maintain their recovery as they become self-supporting, thriving members of our community. This program currently supports both men and women living in six different transitional recovery homes located in New Castle, DE.
Our community is full of individuals who want to help people in need. At CCD, we work diligently with community partners to connect people providing services with those who need them, helping individuals receive the resources they seek as efficiently as possible. To date, CCD has fundraised for multiple community initiatives that have helped us provide: Christmas toys, books, clothing and food for local youth; food, clothing and basic necessities to the homeless and local families in need; household goods, clothing, and electronics to local recovery homes; a free 7-week youth development program; as well as three backpack and school supply giveaways!
